About Ubuhle
Ubuhle (pronounced-oo-bush-lair) is the Zulu word for beautiful, and captures the essence of the lovely jewellery and unusual gifts to be found here. It is a peaceful haven where you can escape the pressures of everyday life and soak up the relaxing atmosphere. We like our customers to have an enjoyable experience when they visit us. So come along and see us and find out for yourself what we are about.
From unusual Silver jewellery to unusual African Beads, there is a style and price to suit everyone. Our lamps from Zimbabwe make a wonderful talking point. A evicted farmer had no money to buy a present for his daughter, so he took a piece of irrigation pipe, drew on it, cut out the 'pattern' and made a lamp. This is now a successful business for him and the lamps are much admired.
You will find us in the lovely old market town, of Nantwich, Cheshire, which has many black and white buildings and a beautiful church, said to be a mini Cathedral. There are lots of interesting sights and unusual shops to see, and plenty of cafes and inns where you can relax and take a break. An especially interesting Coffee shop is the one above the Nantwich Bookshop on the square. It is inside a 16th century building and oozes charm and if you ask, you can go right upstairs and look at the original carpentry from all those years ago..
